The zoomorphic and ribbon like forms can be connected. The author uses illustrations of his different findings that support his initial argument, are important because in the illustration the interlaced forms aid us visually in the similarity of the pattern and art work.

The author explains how the monsters at the end show direct relation to the lindau cover. It also suggest the heavy influence of early Viking art. The author successfully depicts these relationships in her precise detailed drawings , without it the detailed illustration could difficult to see these forms up close on a carving especially after all of the time that has passed.
