1. Introduction
Supply chain or Logistics which are providing functional activities such as transportation, inventory control, and integrated information control. These also repeat again and again between the processes of converting raw materials to meet final customers’ need (Ballou, 2004, p.7). Business logistics are constructed by key and support activities and how these activities performance also depended on the structure of organisations. By looking at whole process of value chain, Logistics are acting a major role to creating values for stakeholders, and non-value added process in supply chain also been thought as wastage. Logistics is more and more important areas for all the business to pay attention because the logistic costs are significant larger, the logistics customer service expectations are increasing and the distribution lines are lengthening with greater complexity (Ballou, 2004, pp.13-24). Once system change to more complex, it also means that can have many issues happened during the process and activities.
Linfox is the one of largest local logistic company in Australia and provided services of logistic solutions to most top companies through all the pillar industries, and logistic activities across full range of logistic process from upstream to downstream. In these years, Linfox have most critical issues around warehousing performance in Indonesia and also affected the global expansion strategies performance.
In this report, we are going to talk about logistic issues happened to warehousing transportation by using case of LINFOX LOGISTICS INGONESIA. Firstly, we will give a preview of company background and supply chain structures. Follow by this, the supply chain performance will be listed by using SWOT analysis and identified the issues. Finally, we will give the proper recommended solution related to these issues.
