Erineo Saquilayan Maliksi (born March 25, 1938 in Imus, Cavite) is a Filipino politician. He is the current congressman from the Third Congressional District of Cavite, also known as the Lone District of Imus. He served as Governor of the Philippine Province of Cavite from June 30, 2001 to June 30, 2010. He is known as Ayong by his constituents, is married to Olivia L. Maliksi and is the father of Imus City Mayor Manny L. Maliksi.He finished his elementary education at Anabu II Elementary School in Imus in 1951, whose old main building was replaced into a modern three-storey building during his term as Governor. He finished his secondary education at Del Pilar Academy, also in Imus, in 1955. In 1969, Ayong graduated from University of the East, earning a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.
Juanito Victor Catibayan Remulla, Jr. (born October 24, 1967), commonly known by his nickname Jonvic Remulla, is a Filipino politician who is the Governor of the Province of Cavite. He is a son of former Governor Juanito Remulla and sibling of former Congressman Gilbert Remulla and Congressman Jesus Crispin Remulla. Remulla entered politics in 1995, when he won as Board Member of the Second District of Cavite. Three years later, in 1998, he was elected as vice governor, a post he held for three terms and in 2010, he became governor. Remulla made a comeback in politics in 2010, when he ran for governor. In the race, he defeated Vice Governor Dencito “Osboy” Campaña, who had the backing of Maliksi.
JUANITO R. REMULLA holds the distinction of being the last appointed governor of Cavite (September 25, 1979 to January 30, 1980) under the Third Republic, and the first regularly elected governor under the Fourth Republic which officially started June 30, 1981.There are 76 provincial governors and 61 city mayors in the country today organized under the banner of the Governors and City Mayors League of the Philippines. In 1981 Remulla was chosen from among this scintillating array of executives as the “Most Outstanding Governor of the Year.” Brilliant, dedicated, dynamic, and community-oriented, Remulla was awarded the signal honor in recognition of the remarkable socio-economic, agro-industrial and infrastructure progress of Cavite since he assumed office two months after the death of his colorful predecessor, Governor Camerino, on July 24, 1979. He was given the award from among more that 28 candidates for the honor.
Ramón Bong Revilla, Jr. (born José Marie Mortel Bautista on September 25, 1966) is a Filipino actor, television presenter, politician, and Senator of Philippines. In 2009, he legally changed his surname to Bong Revilla Vice-Governor and Governor of CaviteHe was invited by former NBI director Epimaco Velasco to be his running mate as vice governor of Cavite. In the 1995 local elections, Velasco and Revilla won as governor and vice governor, beating the tandem of Remulla and Lara.In February 1998, Velasco resigned as governor of Cavite when he was appointed as secretary of Interior and Local Government replacing then Senatorial candidate Robert Barbers. Revilla assumed as the chief executive of the province.In the May 1998 local elections, he won a full term for the position of governor.In his May 2001 reelection bid for governor, he was trounced by then Representative Ayong S. Maliksi by a wide margin.He returned to his acting career and became a TV actor in GMA-7's sitcom Idol ko si Kap.
Epimaco Ardina Velasco (December 12, 1935 – January 27, 2014), popularly known as Epi, was a Filipino politician. DILG Secretary; Governor; NBI Director, first NBI Director who rose from the ranks; worked as a bailiff at the Manila City Hall while studying up law; rose to prominence at the NBI with the killing of Number 1 Most Wanted Man in Cavite, Leonardo Manecio aka Nardong Putik. In 1995, he ran for Governor. He picked Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr, son of Senator Ramon Revilla as his running mate under Lakas-Laban Coalition. He defeated the incumbent Governor Juanito Remulla of the Nationalist Peoples Coalition. In the 2001 elections he ran as Congressman of 2nd district of Cavite but was defeated by former ABS-CBN reporter Gilbert Remulla, son of the former Governor Remulla and in 2004 he ran again for Governor and once again was defeated by incumbent Governor Ayong Maliksi.
