Ayn Rand: Anthem Society can make an impact on a person drastically, for the better or worse. One can change due to the people they have surrounded themselves with, and the rules and norms of the society. The book Anthem by Ayn Ryand gives a variety of ways on how their society is different compared to our society in the United States. Modern-day U.S. society is much more progressive than the society describes in Anthem because of our individuality, freedom, and work. The society in Anthem doesn’t have the same advantages compared to the United States, due to the ability and access America receives and gives. Freedom is a huge upside in society because no matter what, rich or poor, those people have something others don’t in other countries, and that’s called freedom. People get to choose their own name, fate, who they love; their LIFE. They learn from buying houses, renting cars, or even choosing what to wear. They have the right to make their own decisions.
