Little Snow White and episode one of Once Upon a Time are not exactly homogenous, although they are identical in many ways. This is due to the fact that the episode is based on the original story. Snow White’s birth mother is deceased. The King, Snow White’s father, remarries a beautiful woman. Her stepmother, the Queen, envies Snow White because of her beauty. Snow White replaces the Queen as the fairest one of them all. Her stepmother turns yellow at the thought of this news. She sends her Huntsman to murder her, although, Huntsman makes the decision to spare the child’s life. He returns to the Queen. Meanwhile, Snow White stumbles across a cottage. The child makes herself comfortable in the serene, mysterious environment until seven dwarves return to see she’s barged into their home. The dwarves offer her a place to stay while agreeing that she must keep the cottage sterile. The Queen makes several attempts to annihilate Snow White. Her last attempt involves a apple. Snow White is poisoned by the fruit and falls into a nonconscious state. A prince purchases her for marriage. Snow White awakens. The Queen grows agitated when she hears that she is still alive, but she attends Snow White’s wedding. The Queen, still raging with jealousy, she takes her last breath. …show more content…
