The MANAGEMENT
ASILO DE SAN VICENTE DE PAUL
United Nations Ave, Manila, Philippines Sir/Madam;

We would like to request the management of ASILO DE SAN VICENTE DE PAUL that the following youth members of the Junior Varsity Division of LITEHAUS TEAM be accommodated in your establishment during their stay in Manila on May 4, 5 2013 to compete in the National Hoops Philippine Tournament.

We recommended your establishment because we in the DILG office of Malaybalay City have stayed and experienced the cool and the serenity of your place some years ago. Beside ASILO DE SAN VICENTE DE PAUL also offers affordable rate and very accessible transportation. Some of the kids will be accompanied by their parents to supervise them.

Thank you.

    I think that these events foreshadowed Okonkwo’s and the Ibo tribe’s demise because every single one of the events affected Okonkwo negatively and led to some of change in his life. It starts with Okonkwo’s father being a bum in the tribe and neglecting his responsibility to his family. His death was also degrading because his body was thrown in the forbidden forest and Okonkwo always worked towards not becoming someone like him. However, at the end Okonkwo’s “burial” is the same and he becomes the failure he tried to avoid. He considered himself a failure because he was unable to rid the tribe of the colonists because he could see that the culture was diminishing but he failed to bring the tribe to fight after his exile. He was exiled because he killed a boy at the wedding which he was invited to after he killed Ikemefuna so that he could clear his mind with a distraction. Overall, every event led to something which foreshadowed Okonkwo’s demise as well as the tribe’s.…

    Live Deliberately

    Thoreau has stated that he “wishes to live deliberately”. Although I had thought about what is my purpose of living, I didn’t get a consequence of how should I really achieve it. Since I was in middle school, I decided to study Mass communication in my future. I like media; I like the way people press news and make connections for all over the world. But after I read Thoreau’s opinions of our life, I just realized that I have to do something for my goal. To conceive what your life is going to be is an important element of living deliberately. I have to make plan about how do I achieve my goal; I have to pay more attention on the details of my life in order to achieve my goal.…

    Certainly the term 'family' has raised various debates in the modern society and as evident from the study of different cultures, there is now no clear taxonomy of a family unit. From a functionalists point of view, it is a unit of people bound together either biologically or by legal marriage. To support this theory, Murdock defines it as a group consisting of a sexually active heterosexual couple living with their biological or adopted children.(Haralambos M & Langley P).…

    I first saw eat, pray, love in my school bookstore; it was a decision between that and Black Women Rights by Kristal Zook. I was fascinated by both book’s synopsis but ultimately chose Black Women Rights not knowing that I was destined to read Eat, Pray, Love. Elizabeth Gilbert is brilliant writer whose play with words speaks to your soul directly; creating vivid images like a flip book of words. I found this book intellectual, devotional, and raw.…

    When you walk into this magnificent building, you will see four regulation basketball courts. Each court will have its own score board. A screen will separate the basketball courts. On the side of the courts there will be benches for both teams to sit on. On the sides of the court there will be spots were the volleyball poles can go in. Right next to the entrance there will be a front desk, where all the members of the recreation center sign in every time they enter and leave the building. You also can get tournament information there along with signing up to be a member. This is also where you can get your basketballs. All the members must show them their ID and they can get whatever they like. Right next to the front desk are two water fountains. We also have a male, female and all gender bathrooms for the members. We have a male and female locker room with four showers in the locker room. Along the wall right next to the locker rooms, there is a concession stand. Each member can get one free water bottle a day with showing their ID. Everything else is under three dollars. To the left of the entrance will be a fitness room. When you walk into the gym you will see free weights, machine weights and squatting racks. There are also three mirrors inside the gym and two water fountains. We also put three TVs in the weight room for people to watch and a sound system for the member to pick what songs they want to listen to…

    We know that as Christians we are to love God, to love our fellow believers and to love those that don't know Jesus yet. We are to love them the same way that Jesus loves us, which as you know is with unconditional love. So in other words we are to be people who think of others and not only of ourselves. At times this is not an easy thing to do. We are prone to being self consumed with our own lives, problems and needs. However God is calling us to take upon ourselves some of the problems and needs of other people. Actually if the truth be known, when we do this it really is the key to a better and happier life.…
