Living Our Best Life
Life is such a beautiful and honorable gift, isn’t it? It gives our soul the opportunity to experience an exciting adventure in the physical realm and to also add value to the universe in a unique way.

Yet, life continues to be a grand mystery. The older we become the more we realize how little we truly know (paradoxically, a sign of enlightenment and wisdom!). What is the ultimate truth regards our existence? Why are we here and how can we live our best life? Does anybody know the answer? I feel uncertain that any one person knows and understands the whole truth. We all know a part—or our version at least—of it.

Many wise ones offer us a one-size-fits all recipe for success, and though their advice does have some impact, such advice is

(After all, we each see the world only through our unique perception.) Yet, even then, I would have served a purpose by my engaging you in profound contemplation and discussions at the intellectual, emotional and spiritual levels. I do not know it all, but what I do know can make a difference—and my past employees, associates, hundreds of students and thousands of readers of my previous books will agree with this bold claim. Of course, I am still in the (continuous) game of trying to solve this puzzle called life, but I am getting closer and figure I may presently be a few feet away from gold! And together we can get even closer!

Some of us are comfortable living on the tip of the iceberg, but others, including me, want to dive below and discover more on how to live our best life, how to add value. I do not think people’s deepest fear is death; I reckon their greatest trepidation is to be on their death bed and realize they wasted their lives and failed to create an everlasting legacy. Do not be one of those persons; this book will show you

Many people feel trapped by their lives. They have responsibilities they don’t want, or lack the opportunities that they think they deserve. When life feels this way, it may seem limited and small. However, this is just an illusion of the mind. In his book A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose, Eckhart Tolle informs readers that in reality, life is unlimited if we discover who we really are and identify our true purpose. Tolle explains that we are really one with the universe, and since the universe is infinite, so are we. Therefore, in order to find peace and contentment, we need to see that the self and the universe are unified.…

Albert Einstein once said, “Try not to become a man of success. Rather become a man of value”. Implying that people tend to get blinded in the hunt of personal triumph in their lives that they forget what really is important to them. Similarly, in Alfie Kohn’s How “Not to Get into College”, Daniel Barwick’s “The So Called Iced Cream” and Heron Jones’s Somnambulist, the authors develop the message that people assume that chasing external rewards equals joy and satisfaction in their lives. However, their intentions ultimately lead to temporary happiness, long term problems mainly due to the fact that they expel the thought of intrinsic…

Seeing the magical world of Harry Potter light up the silver screen again. Standing in the same room as the Pop Punk band All Time Low. Cracking open the pages of the Norse Gods in Rick Riordan’s Magnus Chase and The Gods of Asgard: The Hammer of Thor. Studying in my dorm room away from home. Why on earth would anyone want to miss out on these things? You see, I struggled with the question what makes life worth living for a long time, I knew that I was pushing on for something, but I could never find the words. I found my answer slowly, adding things that I was living for to the list until I realized that life was worth living for the small things, for the things in the future that you will miss out on if you leave early.…

People often have an assortment of ideas and beliefs towards the question of “What is a meaningful life”. What is life? Defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as: the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death. But I would like to think of life as something deeper than that, after all it is the greatest gift that we receive. Are we simply just born to die or is there more to it than that? We are all given a commensurate chance to leave our humanitarian imprint on this raw planet – although that chance may come easier to certain people than others based on social hierarchy and genetic legacies, the fact is we take what we are given and either use every single microscopic molecule of it to its entire ability or fail to grasp it whilst it is still in our reach.…

“The search of the purpose of life has been puzzled people for thousands of years. That’s because we typically begin at the wrong starting point—ourselves. We ask self-centered questions like, what do I want to be? What should I do with my life? What are my goals, my ambitions, and my dreams for my future? But focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life’s purpose.”—Rick Warren…

Natalie Babbitt once said “Do not fear death, but rather the unlived life. You don't have to live forever. You just have to live.” Those who have lived a good life do not fear death, but meet it calmly, and even long for it in the face of great suffering. But those who do not have a peaceful conscience, dread death as though life means nothing but physical torment. The challenge is to live our life so that we will be prepared for death when it comes.…
