Well, I managed to survive through the many years to get to this day. On this day September 1, 2060 I am about to head to the golf course to spend my day with my former co-workers. As I am 73 years old, I have been retired for about five and a half years. I enjoy living the life I do now, being retired, and just enjoying everyday day that I have left here on Earth. After college I played professional baseball for twenty-one years, sixteen for the Pittsburgh Pirates. After I threw in the towel I went on to coach minor league baseball for another thirty three years up until just within the last five years.
After that, I now live in Ocean City, Maryland with my wife of twenty years and my youngest of two sons. My oldest, Jake, is now twenty four years of age and lives in Miami, Florida with his girlfriend while he is in his final years of college. My youngest, Michael, who is eight years old enjoys living down near the beach and likes the location. My wife, Amanda, is nearing the end of her career as a nurse at the local hospital. She is about to celebrate her sixty third birthday later this month and we are planned to go on a cruise to enjoy the day. She has played a big role in where I am today in my life and being able to sit back thinking of the good things and not the regrets.
With that being said, I couldn’t be anywhere close to where I am today without the support I received throughout my years. My wife and kids have been there throughout the thick and thin. With my job I did a lot of traveling ad time away from home. We all still managed to keep in touch and communicate on a daily basis. My dad was there for me a lot until he passed away in 2049. He was a major influence in my liking of the game of baseball, which he was the one who placed a ball in my hand minutes after I was born. He always wanted me to do my best and strive to outperform the competition. His motto was, “Play every game as if it is your last game ever.” I followed
