PPM 859: Participatory learning and Action I Participation in Project Development
1. Introduction
In the introductory course mention has been made of the Logical Framework. In this course we revisit the topic to be able to position it within the overall framework of M&E principles.
This topic provides an overview of the Logical Framework approach. It then provides insights into the concepts and the logical relationships between the key parameters in project monitoring and evaluation. It finally provides a an opportunity for the students to be able to link the theory with practice through engagement in developing a typical Logframe.
2. Learning Objective
At the end of this topic the learner
1. will have been introduced to the logical framework
2. will have been shown the application of logical framework in M&E
3
Learning outcomes
The overall learning outcome of this topic is to enable the student be able to only grasp the logic in the logical framework but to also develop and apply the tool in a simulated environment. This topic will provide the basis for appreciating the key elements of M&E in the Project Cycle.
