The best way to achieve this goal in a harmonious and sustainable manner is by ensuring economic well-being of the men and women who feed our nation. The founding fathers of our nation had clearly elucidated that farmers are the backbone of India and unless they prosper, our nation cannot realize its growth potential. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel knew that India will achieve true independence only when economic welfare of its farmers is assured.To achieve his vision, he inspired creation of institution like AMUL, which are responsive to the genuine needs of rural India.
