The war was caused by both long and short causes, From October 1929 an economy depression happened in America, it spread all around the world. Due to this million of people were throw away from the work and some of them starve to death. As this happened lot of people were angry and they turned to political extremists.
After this In Germany and Italy, fascist dictators such as Hitler came to power and in Japan started getting power. As a result, countries became more aggressive until they started invading countries, for example, Japan invaded Manchuria in 1932 and Italy invaded Abyssinia in 1935.
