Why do most people wish for long hair? Is it because of the statement “long hair, don’t care” used by people who really don’t have long hair, but in their eyes, they do. Or is it because they just wish they had more hair blowing when it is a windy day. Why can’t women just be satisfied with their short hair? They instead choose to get extensions and weaves and tell people that it is theirs. It seems that the women who want long hair don’t look right with it and those who don’t want it do look right with it. Fortunately, I have medium length hair. Not short and not long. If I had to choose between short and long hair, I would have to go with long hair. Long hair dominates short hair because of the simple fact that you can do so many more hairstyles with it. Although there is a big difference between long and short hair, they do have some similarities. Whether your hair is long or short, there are hairstyles both people with long hair and people with short hair can get. Depending on how short your hair is, you can still get a hairstyle called a “wrap” mostly known by African Americans and it will look just as pretty as a person who has long hair and gets the same hairstyle. In other words: same hairstyle, different hair length, but same results. Also, when it comes to hair texture, hair length rarely has anything to do with it. Whether your hair is short or long you can have the same hair texture. Often people assume just because you have short hair, you don’t have a “good grain of hair” or you don’t have good hair texture.
A person with short hair, there are a limited number of hairstyles you can do. If you wanted to wear a ponytail in your hair, depending on how short your hair is, all of your hair won’t go into that ponytail. If your hair is not short but not too short, your hair may go into that ponytail, but it will make you hair look shorter than it already is.
