Effect of Long Term Space Flight Research Paper When traveling in space, astronauts are subject to environmental conditions that are very different from what their bodies are used to on earth. One of the main causes of this is the fact that there is very low gravity in space, and astronauts experience weightlessness. This can cause many complications for the passengers of the spacecraft such as motion sickness, loss of bone and muscle mass, fluid redistribution, distruption of vision, distruption of taste, and other effects.
