The term “human nature” is much more than a reference to human behaviour, one of the chief distinction between human beings and the rest of the creation is our ability to reason. No other creature has had this ability, and this is given from God, we are all born with good and bad human nature, it depends of the person personality, decision and self-conscience to make ourselves who we are good or not. Our personality comes from our parents, how we are raised and our experiences as we get older. These combined to make who we are right now. Those who thinks that human nature is good will ignore the facts and evidence, those of thinks it’s bad will simply think that because of what the world has come to today. William Golding intended this novel as a tragic parody of children’s adventure tales, and making characters, settings and events stand for things more meaning than themselves. Lord of the flies is about a group of British boys were in a plane crash and they are stranded on an island, they began by establish a society but then soon fall apart when there turned into rival clans ruled by fear and violence with two different leaders. They all soon fall into savagery, filled with violence and killing three boys. Willian Golding showed us that human nature is good but soon tempted with evil because, evil is something that is so easy to do and its often accords with human nature. William Golding thesis is similar from mine, such as he thinks that human nature is not necessary evil but barbaric, as we know that in history there is rarely laws around, they do whatever they think it’s right, which leads to argument in different groups, results in war. It’s also stating that human nature does has its good and bad, and it does depend of the person personality like ralph and jack, both leaders has their opinion what is good and bad.
