In my opinion, the ending of the book was not happy, but at the same time it was. Jack’s tribe which includes Roger and some littluns were going to hunt Ralph and put his head on a stick as they have done to the sow’s head. Nobody could help him. Simon and Piggy were dead, Samneric were serving to Jack as prisoners. Poor Ralph left all alone. He had three different strategies for escaping the hunters. I realize that being on the uninhabited island for so long is a torture, no one to take care of them, no adults, no normal food, no television, no school, and young boys with their imagination they have seen in movies, or have read in books, started to act like savages. Jack ran wild, maybe
