When I finished the book Ciento: 100 100-word Love Poems I thought that the obsessive nature of the book correlated perfectly with the topic. My definition of love is something that causes you to do what others might not and occupies your mind. In the poem “100 Words to the Genius of You,” it begins with “Loving you is pure genius, smartest thing I’ve ever done” (86). This is how I feel with my relationship because before I met my significant other I wasn’t fond of the idea of love.
