The cons are having nurses perform housekeeping duties and having housekeeping perform clinical care duties without being trained. Plus, giving nurses additional responsibilities that management should employ, such as, policy and cost cutting measures on quality managements. Almost in a threatening manner, if this was not provided, they would be given poor job review performances. I was on the fence with this action; having nurses use tablets charting patients medicine. Realistically, I believe this is a great feature to reduce drug theft but ideally the way of acclimating the procedure should be tweaked. Furthermore, Los Rayos, has also changed the nursing staff work hours from 8 to 12 hour shifts.
