One of the three brothers depicted in the story has a kind heart and much unlike his other brothers. Since he was kind hearted, chances are that his journey in life will be smooth. As the third brother was making his way to find work, he met a woman who guided him in the right direction but asked for bread or water and he kindly said yes, “Yes,” he answered and he shared with her his loaf of bread and water. After eating he said to her, “Take what is left, Senora” (Anaya “Los Tres”). He kindly opened his heart to her and said she can have everything he she desired it. His kind gestures are reflective of his attitude and personality which will depict his overall life on earth and in Heaven. Since he was a good son unlike his brothers, he was granted the privilege along with his parents to go to Heaven, “You and your parents will go to heaven, but not your brothers” (Anaya “Los Tres”). God granted them permission to be by his side in Heaven because he was a good son and put others before himself. In “Los tres hermanos/ The Three Brothers,” The first son much like the second, neglected to share his money with his parents who needed it dearly. Instead of returning home with the money and handing it over to his patents like a good son, he instead decides to take the money goes to the city, “And as soon as he was paid he went straight to the beguiling city to indulge in its delights. He forgot all about his parents and never once thought of sharing his money with them” (Anaya “Los Tres”). He instead chose to party in the city and waste the money that he had promised his parents. Due to his cold heart, Him and his brother ended up being rejected by god and denied entrance to Heaven, “Because they were bad sons, and did not take care of their parents, they deserve to spend eternity in the fires of hell” (Anaya “Los Tres”).
