At the beginning of Frozen, Elsa and Anna were little kids living with their parents who are king and queen, and Anna and Elsa princesses. In the movie, Elsa had powers and her and Anna loved to play with them but no one else outside of their family knew because they were princesses and that would have caused a commotion and a great danger to Elsa and would have put her family and loved ones at risk. Elsa accidentally strikes Anna in the head with her magic when they are playing and she was trying to save her from getting hurt but she ended up hurting her anyways. If Elsa had just not used her magic dangerously then Anna wouldn’t have almost died, but instead they had to erase her memories of Elsa’s magic. biggest secret from someone she loves and there will be consequences for it later. When Anna takes off Elsa’s glove and reveals Elsa’s magic to everyone, people start to panic and think she is some kind of threat or is dangerous.
As shown in the movie, Elsa is supposed to hide her powers from everyone because they believe it will protect people, but really if she had just told Anna then things wouldn’t have gotten complicated because Anna could have helped Elsa control her powers instead of letting them get stronger and Elsa trying to keep them under control on her own. This ties with the loss of innocence because Elsa has to learn that this is her life now, hidden from her sister that she used to do everything with. Even though she thinks she is protecting her, she should stay true to
herself.
Elsa accidentally struck Anna again with her magic, instead in the heart, which would make her die if she didn’t interact with someone she loved before it was too late. In the movie, Anna and Elsa were drifted apart after Anna found out about Elsa’s powers and Elsa forgot what was truly important: that they are sisters and love each other and need to always stay true to that. Elsa has to face the consequences of Anna almost dying, but if Elsa had just stayed true to who she really is then none of that would have happened. In the end, Elsa saves Anna and they are reunited due to the fact that that is who they are and they have learned to accept it throughout the movie. Elsa’s powers effected Anna by making her experience them and having to accept them.
