Loss Of Innocence In Persepolis
In the book Persepolis by satrapi the main character lost her innocence and became responsible by moving away from her parents, hearing about violence, and standing up to Ramin about his death. Her parents told her she has to go to Austria, Mohsen told Marjane’s family what they had did to him in prison. At the dinner table Mohsen told Marjane what kind of torture he had been through when he was away. ‘’They whipped me with thick electric cables, not to mention putting out there cigarettes on our back’’ (54) Marjane lost of innocence when Mohsen told her what happen to him, She became responsible when she moved to Austria.
