Bridget Jones's diary and Pride and prejudice are two very similar stories but they still have a few differences. We have been watching the films in school and I'm going to write about the stories and compare them and find their similarities and differences.
Bridget Jones's Diary
This story is about Bridget Jones. She is a 32 year old clumsy single woman who, according to herself, drink to much and doesn't think before she speaks. She want to change her life for the better so she starts to write a diary where she writes about her everyday life. On a new years day party her mum wants her to meet the top-notch and recently divorced Mark Darcy. Their conversation is very awkward as Bridget talk way too much about all the wrong things. After their little chat Mark call her a verbally incontinent spinster who drinks like a fish, smokes like a chimney, and dresses like her mother. Bridget gets extremely offended and after that party she decides to try to find the man of her dreams and this man turns out to be someone unexpected.
Pride and Prejudice
This story is about the Bennet family who lives on the countryside of England during the 17th or 18th century. the Bennet family is consisting of Mr. and Mrs. Bennet and their five daughters - Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty and Lydia. Mrs. Bennnet's highest wish is to see all of her girls get married with a nice and rich man but the next oldest sister, Elizabeth got other plans. She wants to find the man of her dreams. One night at a ball she meet Mr Darcy, a rich and proud man who thought that she was way out of his league. He didn't dance with anyone and he insulted Elizabeth by calling her ugly. Elizabeth still wants to find the man of her dreams but he is closer than she thinks.
