Coaches Julie Plitt and Coach Brian Baugh have contributed to the improvement of the program. They are confident that this year’s team is solid and will go far in the state tournament.
“I have an unbelievable amount of faith in this year’s team!” Plitt said. “There have been moments throughout the regular season that have given me the confidence to say we are one of the top five teams not only in the city, but in the state.”
The volleyball competition is tough in the Cincinnati area, with powerhouse schools like Ursuline, Mount Notre Dame, Mercy, and Mason in play. However, the girls believe that they have what it takes to compete with any of the top programs.
“Throughout this season I think we have proven that when we are all working together for one common goal, we are more than capable of competing with any of the top programs in the state,” Clara Planner (10) said.
The girls will compete in the sectional tournament at Lakota West High School and take on Fairfield (or Edgewood) in the first round on Saturday October 21st. The Loveland volleyball team is looking to achieve another record breaking season and to have a strong presence in the state
