Lowanna Williams Monologue
"Lowanna?"I waited for a moment before opening the door. There asleep snoring like a 68 year old man was my best friend.
"Let's go Anna, time to go to school." I opened her window and in return I heard a groan from behind me. I heard a knock at the door.
"I'll get it, by the time I get back you will be up and awake." I ran out of her room and opened the door.
"Good morning, I am Michael Lionel from the department of Aboriginal Affairs, may I speak with Miss Lowanna Williams." I gasped and couldn't speak for a moment. Lowanna warned me about this. People would come for her. They would take her away.
"In relation to what may I ask." My voice was shaking and I pleaded with myself to keep calm.
"That is no concern to you. Now may I speak with Miss Williams?" I did the only thing I could think of.

You know 15 year old girls in 1962. Never know where they'll be." I quickly shut the door and ran into Lowanna's room. She was awake and fixing her hair.
"Anna? They've come for you." She stiffened and I could almost smell the fear radiating off her.
"Took their time trying to find me." She grabbed me in a hug and pulled me close. She pushed back my hair. The blonde standing out against her beautiful dark skin.
"Don't try and find me." She whispered into my ear. Without another word, she ran out the back doro.
"Anna?! This isn't funny come back!" I heard the door open and I heard muffled voices. I quickly ran to the door but she was gone.
I grabbed my coat and ran out the front door. The man who was standing there looked at me bewildered. He seemed to notice what was happening and yelled to the men in the car. I looked around, I didnt know where I was going or what I needed to

3:15 am, I lie in the spot of my bed I’d always gone to for comfort, now lying there unable to move, think, breathe, sleep, trying to wrap my mind around the fact that my world would never be the same again.
