Dear Editer,

This past month in our school, grades fifth through eighth have been taking the M-Step. The M-Step is an online assessment that ranges through all of the requried subjects in school.

During the past week, it was finally the seventh grade’s turn to take online assessment. On Wednsday my class took the Language Arts M-Step in the computer lab. This type of assessment is a high-stakes exam, often presented to the students at the mid-point of the school year to determine the mastery of skills and concepts the teacher has taught.
