7. Evaluation, (M10)
The nursing process is made up of five interrelated parts namely assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation being the ending phase of nursing process. Evaluation encompasses establishing of criteria, analysis of various variables affecting conclusions, decisions and modifications in the nursing care plan. As a fundamental aspect of learning and teaching, it constantly embroils pooling and analysis of data and records.
According to Ralp Tyler “Evaluation involves determining to what extent the educational objectives can be realized. It goes together with learning proficiencies and instructional objectives. Test and examinations demonstration the level of knowledge attainment.

Each period a person is mandatory to make some kind of modification and before selecting a specific course of action, an analysis of all accessible possibilities is taken into consideration. In education, tests assessments and examinations is widely used as the means of evaluating students’ performances.
Application in my Current Job
In Class clinic, we consider the process of evaluation as the determinants of the quality of nursing care rendered with regards to recognized principles and standards of care. It helps the hospital management and health care team to be able to arrive at conclusions around likely factors that led to the achievement or letdown of various health care strategy in our clinic.
