MALCOLM MORA: Plot Summary

A detective also working as a hired killer, tries to save his brother, a professional fighter from a ruthless criminal who coerces him into throwing a big fight.

MALCOLM MORA (37) lives a double life. He’s a veteran detective and he’s a contract killer that uses a mime mask. He gets his assignments from FRANK. Malcolm forces fighter BULL (30) to leave the city after Malcolm learns that Bull is supposed to fight his brother, DIO MORA. Mobster, BILL SANTORO, who runs an illegal fighting organization, wants Bull found. He sends his henchman VICTOR to find him. Santoro threatens Dio into throwing the next fight.

Malcolm feels especially close to his brother’s wife and their young daughter, VALERIE. He wants to protect the family. When Malcolm realizes that Dio is deeply in trouble, Malcolm arranges to take Dio’s wife and daughter to a safe house.

Frank gives Malcolm his next target: a big shot criminal attorney representing a mobster. Wearing his mime mask, Malcolm infiltrates a strip club and kills the attorney. Detective MARTINEZ is suspicious of Malcolm’s behavior. Malcolm thinks about leaving town. He proposes the idea to his girlfriend LUCY. He doesn’t know that Lucy is an undercover agent working with Martinez.
Frank gives Malcolm Gordo’s name.
When Frank arrives at Gordo’s address, he finds that Victor has already found GORDO and is holding a gun to him inside the bedroom. Gordo’s wife is armed with a shotgun waiting for Victor to come out. Malcolm sees a young boy, Gordo’s son. Things go horribly wrong when Victor shoots Gordo’s wife and then Gordo. Victor forces Malcolm out of the apartment, leaving Victor with the young boy. He shows the young boy how to screw a silencer on a gun and tells the boy that inside his head he plays a deadly game with the sound of a silencer. The sound he hears determines if someone will die or not. He’s hears a clack
echo.

Frank calls in Malcolm, but it’s a trick. Victor is waiting for Malcolm. A gun battle erupts. Frank is killed and Malcolm shoots Victor, but Dio’s trainer, OTTO, shows up. Otto is frantic, Bull has returned and he’s fighting Dio. Malcolm returns to get Victor, but Victor is gone.

Malcolm arranges for SWAT to raid the warehouse where the fight is taking place. Bill Santoro is arrested, but when he led out of the building, Malcolm, armed with his sniper gun, kills Bill.

Dio is reunited with his family. Malcolm confesses to Lucy that Valerie is his daughter. He also knows that Lucy has been working uncover, but he loves her and thinks she loves him too. They take off together, but suddenly a shot rings out and Lucy is killed. The shooter is Victor.

Dio and his family leave. Dio finds money that Malcolm left for him.

Victor approaches Malcolm. Victor screws on the silencer. He tells Malcolm about the deadly game that he plays in his head. He hears a click echo.
