We see the themes of guilt, jealousy, envy, greed and murder in the play as well as all over the news which many of us watch or hear about. The most prominent theme in this novel would be envy and murder, through Macbeth's murder's and his thirst for the crown.

erhaps O.J. loved his children so much that he could not bear to loose them. O.J. killed for his own needs and desires. He may of had ambitions and goals for his children which were being taken away from him.
O.J.'s ambition to not loose his children, and probably half of his money led him to selfishness, greed, and hopelessness, leading to the death of innocent people.

The divorce between O.J. and Nicole was not settled. Nicole was dating another man ,who was also murdered. Since the divorce was not clear, this dating could be looked upon as an affair. Perhaps O.J. was jealous of this man. Maybe, out of selfishness, greed and jealousy O.J. went to far when he decided to murder his wife.

O.J. has lost a lot of money, friends and trust. Not only has he lost most of his trust with friends and family, he has also lost trust and respect from the public and his fans. Faith and trust is very important in life, and it seems as though O.J. fell prey to ambition, greed and jealousy, just like Macbeth. Having an ambition can be very dangerous to others. Take this case for example, innocent people were murdered, and at the end of the day, O.J. lost his money, friends, and lots of fans. Was it really worth it?

Was the story of Macbeth just a classical Shakespearean play or is it how the society is unfolding as we speak? Through the play of Macbeth, the themes of greed or excessive ambition are still, very relevant to our society today. Many

(text to self) Additionally, Bugliosi holds others to this same level of dedication and competence. Aside from a general criticism of social and government constructs, “Helter Skelter” names several people in the process of Manson’s conviction that failed to uphold justice, emphasizing his overall themes of awareness and efficiency being key to justice. (text to itself) In his book “Outrage: The Five Reasons Why O.J. Got Away With Murder,” Bugliosi analyzes the blame on which O.J.’s freedom lies: the District Attorney's failure, the behavior of judges, incompetent prosecutors, and general failure to carry an appropriate court hearing with the intent to convict. This shows his trueness to his own beliefs, deeply rooted in his fight for justice. For more on Outrage, read this article: http://articles.latimes.com/1996-07-07/books/bk-21731_1_vincent-bugliosi. At the start of the play Oedipus announces to the Thebans “I shall shrink from nothing in my search to find the murderer of Laius” (pg. 16). Although this is the plan of action that most Thebans would want, in reality, the city and Oedipus have nothing to gain from finding the murderer of Laius but a sense of justice, this highlights Oedipus unnecessary search for truth. Had Oedipus not even begun an in depth search for Laius’ killer, the tragedy would not have taken place. It was a selfish search for an invaluable piece of information to begin with, that is why his search for the truth is not beneficial. Also, part way through his journey towards his downfall he decides to investigate his own identity. Jocasta advises against it strongly but he ignores her. Him of all people, assuming he recognizes that he has killed people in the past, has a wife old enough to be his mother and has a prophecy foretold about him that is beyond horrifying, chooses to point out his own faults by pursuing his own identity. He should have taken in to account that he isn’t perfect, and perhaps shedding light on his past for any reason wouldn’t have a positive outcome because no matter how you slice it, Oedipus is a murderer regardless of whom he thought he killed. But he still chooses to follow through with his search. Had he not found out that…
