strong enough to do the task, that need to be done. Which is killing King Duncan, and taking his crown. She is very selfish, and doesn’t care about the consequences of what her, and her husband are about to do. Lady Macbeth also says beforehand, that she knows she is going to have to convince her husband, in order for Duncan to be killed off, and her and him get the crown. Throughout the play, Macbeth undergoes lots of changes. In the beginning, he was a noble man. He was the leader of the thanes, he was loved. As the reader when we first started reading the play we got the feel of a soldier or hero rather coming back from a hard war. The reader would not expect him to act so savagely, but as the play progress, he becomes a wild man. He starts killing people for no reason and talking to himself, Lady Macbeth’s persuasion caused Macbeth to kill innocent people though she didn’t kill everybody she still can be considered a murderer because she played her sovereignty card and played with Macbeth’s mind, therefore she had become linked to murder even though she never laid a finger on anyone that was slain in the castle. She ability to make Duncan comfortable before she plans to kill him. That was really a shocker. For instance when she greets Duncan. She gives him wine to make him and his attendants drunk and proceeds to do the deed. Later power caught up with her. She could not deal with herself, and she eventually commits suicide. As a reader , that information from the story. It raises a red flag because first off, because she was a woman in an Era where women never said very much, for the reader it was a bit of a shocker. Lady Macbeth was so power driven that she forgets the time that she was living in, and as the reader , we became anxious to see the way she handles the situation. While Macbeth is away in the battle, he visits three witches who told him that he is destined to be a king. His ambitions became known as his plan comes together, but he quickly begins to back down when it was time to kill Duncan. Macbeth starts backpedaling saying things like, “if chance will have me , king, why, chance may crown me” (Act 1, Scene 3). He is basically saying if it’s destiny, then he would become king, and he did not have to kill anyone. As a reader, we also learned that for Macbeth this was an extremely hard decision. Knowing of Macbeth’s heroic was deeds, for instance, the war he just won. The reader would think that he would be into killing people for power, but for Macbeth, he had a deeper connection to this task. Duncan was not king, but Him and Macbeth were cousin’s in ( Act 1) when the Captain is telling Duncan about the battle, and all the details of the battle. Duncan responded and said “My brave relative! What a worthy man”! Lady Macbeth was a very special kind of woman she was the one who say to do no wrong in killing people as long she didn’t have to be the murderer. When the suitable time had come for Lady Macbeth to assist Macbeth in murdering Duncan she backed out and decided that she could longer be a part of the task at hand. She even uses her father as a crutch saying that when she tried to put the dagger though Duncan, she realized that he reminded her of her father, which left Macbeth to carry out the plan alone. Catherine’s has two love interns. Edgar and Heathcliff, who comes from two different worlds. Catherine’s love is going to cause violence amongst these men. She has the power to break down the willpower of these men. In other word, Catherine is a manipulative biscuit. “ Well, if I cannot keep Heathcliff for my friend-- if Edgar will be mean and jealous, I’ll try to break their hearts by breaking my own. That will be a prompt way of finishing all, when I am pushed to extremity! (Chapter 11, Page 107). Catherine in Wuthering Heights is playing with the emotions of two different men. This is a conflict because of two different love aspects. In the end, Macbeth goes to battle and is killed by Macduff.
Macduff kills and beheads him. Macduff presents Macbeth’s head at a coronation party. Lady Macbeth kills herself, because her conscious would not allow her to live. Malcolm becomes the king of Scotland. “How now, my lord, why do you keep alone, of sorriest fancies your companions making, using those thoughts which should indeed have died with them. Things without all remedy should be without regard: what’s done, is done’ ( Act 3 ). Lady Macbeth ruins their relationship when she makes Macbeth and his cronies kill others. She never allowed Macbeth to be a real man. She was more about status and all about herself. Real love is sharing not dictating. Even though they committed various crimes together; theirs was a twisted love
relationship. Heathcliff was so hurt by the fact that Catherine moved on that he became angry, and his motives became parallel to Hindley’s motives. After Catherine marries Edgar, Heathcliff marries Isabella, who becomes the tool he needed to take control of the Linton family. Isabella seemed very in love with Heathcliff, but he was not feeling the same way about her, and never returned the feeling. In fact, heathcliff starts physically abusing her for the smallest things she tried to do. She took the abuse because she was insanely in love with Heathcliff. Catherine then begins to slip up, and act jealous of Heathcliff and Isabella’s relationship, which is what Heathcliff wanted in order to really back at Catherine. Power can be a problem for everyone. It could be a problem for innocent people, ambitions people, and everyone that falls into those categories. In both stories, I see that while power sounds great sometimes the time you can put into the power is unnecessary, and the side effects can be dangerous. Power can be very, very dangerous. Death and other bad things can happen. Heathcliff and Isabella have a son named Linton. Linton does not find out about Heathcliff ( his father) until he is thirteen years old. Linton comes to live with his estranged father after Isabella
(Linton Mother) who went to London dies. Heathcliff is angry because he has a child by Isabella (someone he doesn’t even love) he starts treating Linton like Hindley treated him. Creating a cycle that continues. Heathcliff never gets Catherine as his wife, but he kept his hope alive. Hindley’s power is just like Macbeth’s power did not really last as long as he worked for it to last, causing all kinds of wildfires overpower that would not last very long. Hindley (Earnshaw’s son) is now the heir to Wuthering Heights, and the anger that had festered started to come out. While Hindley may have been hurt by his father’s decision to take Heathcliff in. Hindley was also agitated because since his father adopted Heathcliff and demanded. Heathcliff is treated like he is one of the origins Earnshaw it now meant that Heathcliff was threatening his power. Heathcliff was road block by Hindley. Macbeth is basic on power. Killing people is what he was known for. Lady Macbeth was a part of the murder, but she just didn’t think it was right butome find it difficult to believe that power is damage.
