All men are created equally but at the same time they can be very different. Macbeth was written by William Shakespeare. Macbeth was Shakespeare’s shortest and bloodiest tragedy. This play was most likely written in 1606.( Add background about your subject like of equality)This work included many main characters; two of them were Macbeth and Macduff. These two were men that had their similarities and differences. Each having his motivations, different relationships, but sharing a similar personality. Everyone is motivated by something they want. Macbeth and Macduff had different goals in their lives. Macduff was fair because he wanted things to be justified. Macbeth on the other hand was selfish because he had no limits when it came to greed. When Banquo told Macbeth, “You shall be king” (William Shakespeare 1.3.84), Macbeth took it to the heart. He was pleased with the idea of becoming king. The idea was so pleasing, it became his only desire. All Macbeth thought about from that moment was becoming king of Scotland. Macduff never got ahead of himself; which made him a trustworthy noble man. In the end Macbeth confused greed with ambition while Macduff remained focused on what was important. In addition, a man can be judged by his relationships with others. Macduff was loyal, while Macbeth was an evil snake. Macbeth had many loyal men that did his dirty work for him. When Banquo’s murderer spoke to Macbeth he told him, “My lord, his throat is cut. That I did for him” (3.4.18). The murder came to Macbeth with the news, which pleased Macbeth, but this meant another person was dead that once trusted Macbeth. The same men killed Macduff’s family. Macduff’s relationship with his family was not the best. His wife called him a coward for leaving without an explanation. While his son did not want to admit his father was dead. Macduff did wrong by leaving his family defenseless, but he loved them and he would seek revenge. All that’s underline revise, don’t talk about the bad of Macduffs relationship but his good like him always staying loyal to the king after everything. Transition Personality is what distinguishes a person from another. Macbeth and Macduff had somewhat similar personalities. Both men were courageous and persistent. They knew what they wanted so they aspired to achieve it. Both men lost their wives and apart from being totally different, they took it the same way. When Macduff found out his family was killed he said, “I shall do so/ But I must also feel it like a man” (4.3.222-223). The moment of hearing the bad news, Macduff knew what he must do, but first he had to feel the pain. Macbeth’s situation was the same. When Lady Macbeth died,(he never truly felt bad though) he felt bad but he knew her time was near. The deaths did not stop them from following their own plan. They were determined, and brave in and out of battle. Humans might be all made of flesh and bone but they are all different and alike in many ways. Macbeth and Macduff had their motivations, strong and weak relationships, and still sharing similar personalities. These two characters remained strong, physically and mentally, throughout the whole play. They knew opportunity only comes once in a lifetime. (opportunity for what?)Both of them took the steps necessary to get the job done. Each of them knew the importance of every situation. The battle was of Good vs. Evil, and as always, good triumphed.
