Determine the personalities of Macbeth and Macduff, and how they act upon them.\
Macbeth, written by William Shakespeare, contains characters that differ greatly from each other. There may also be characters that share the same intentions and desires. You may notice some characters having a subtle personality which others may be homicidal and vengeful for all the wrong reasons. This focus will lead you towards the recognition of Macbeth and Macduff as polar opposites. Both of these character’s personalities differ and relate to each other in many ways. Based on their actions throughout the play, we can gain an understanding on the personalities they express.

Both characters also wanted to obtain success when accomplishing goals and finalizing difficult situations. Putting aside their relations to each other, their differences are easily recognizable. While Macbeth seems to use murder as a final solution for some of his problems, Macduff acts upon them differently. Macduff is loyal to his country and puts others before his own self. Due to this, Macbeth differs from Macduff. While Macbeth contains a hazardous personality, Macduff seems to hold the opposite form of personality.
The definition of manliness can easily be explained and thought out with the help of stereotype.
Men usually take charge in situations in a way that may seem more bold and courageous no matter the circumstance. Macbeth may express a sense of bravery through his actions with no thought of remorse of reconsideration. Is this the true meaning of being a man? Macduff may contradict this belief because of the way he acts upon situations he endures. After the tragic loss of his family due to the orders from Macbeth, Macduff manages to stay as strong as he could about the situation. The thought of murder never occurred to him until the devastating episode he experienced. Before this, Macduff was more cool-headed than aggressive in his actions. Some may believe this is the true form of maturity. There is no doubt that being a man means being mature and reasonable at the same time. Macduff and Macbeth’s main difference is their level of maturity and sense of remorse. Macduff acts upon situations in the way that should be done. Macbeth acts the way he pleases and listens to his evil mind when it comes to finalizing situations that could’ve been acted upon in a more justified
