In Williams Shakespeare’s tragedy, Macheth, Shakespeare writes about betray between friends and how one can go insane for power. Looking at Williams Shakespeare’s tragedy, Macbeth, through the psychological lens where Macbeth goes insane by betrayal and power. In the beginning of the play Macbeth, Macbeth was portrayed as a hero and became Thane of Cawdor. When Macbeth meets the witches and hears their prophecy he goes downhill. When Macbeth meets the witches they tell him this prophecy about his future, “All hail, Macbeth! Hai l to thee, thane of Glamis! All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, thane of Cawdor! All hail, Macbeth! That shalt be king hereafter.” (Shakespeare. I, III. 48-50). When Macbeth finds out hes fgoing to become thane and King he is very shocked. He didn’t believe he was going to become the thane or the king, since both are still alive. Ross then tell Macbeth he is going to be the Thane of Cawdor and he is the most worthy person. Lady Macbeth tell Macbeth he needs to kill Duncan so he can become King. But when Macbeth starts to back down Lady Macbeth calls him a coward to convinve him he needs to do what needs to be done.
