Macduff's Presentation Of Murder In Macbeth By William Shakespeare
Macbeth has clearly been a tale of ambition, murder, and revenge. Before the climax scene is revealed, let’s recap the events prior. Thane Macduff’s entire household were murdered by Macbeth, sparking his revenge. Malcolm fled to England to escape Macbeth’s evil atrocities. And finally, to give Macbeth what he deserves, Macduff also flees to England to rally a crusade of troops to take down Macbeth once and for all. He returns with the troops where the next scene is set. This scene is not present in the original play, however, it is important to understand how Macduff forms the army. I will be Macduff delivering a final call to action speech as villagers and soldiers gather near Birnam Woods.

Good morning men. I, Lord Macduff, Thane of

Each killing is becoming easier for him and they’ll continue indefinitely unless we take action now! Now ask yourself this – do you want your neighbouring Scots to be ruled by a murderer? As a patriot of Scotland, not I! He is a self-absorbed human being who cares for none but himself. Evil atrocities are clearly in his veins. Macbeth is tyrannical – resorting to violence and murder to every problem that arises - including any threat to his stability as King. He is born for the battlefield, not to rule Scotland.
We know of his weaknesses and will use it against him. He psychologically does not fit a criminal figure. He can’t think for himself. He can’t make decisive decisions. He is heavily reliant on the opinion of others. His Lady continually influences his actions. She persuades and encourages his murderous deeds. They murdered innocent people. We need justice for their families! My friends, Macbeth will soon be after your families too unless we act

(Pause). Fighting this battle will see men fall and blood drawn - but the sacrifice that you make will ensure the safety of your Ladies, babes and fellow Scots for the forthcoming years. They will not fall victims in the hands of Macbeth.
The Birnam Woods will be our ally, providing concealment prior to our attack on Dunsinane Castle. The ever-brave Malcolm will command and lead the troops – we are in very capable hands. We will fight to the very end. We will slay every soldier that stands in our way. We will win at all costs. We will talk with our swords and weapons and give Macbeth what he truly deserves. So fight for what is right! Fight for your freedom! Fight for Scotland!
*draw sword* We will take down Macbeth, and crown Malcolm as our rightful King.

In the end, Macduff slayed Macbeth, Malcolm was crowned King of Scotland and Lady Macbeth committed suicide just before Macbeth’s death as a result of the string of psychological effects of the murders that she and her husband had committed. Thank you for

The soldiers disguise themselves in Burnam wood and carrying cut down trees as they march towards the castle. This proves the third apparition where “Mabeth shall never vanquished be until / Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill / Shall come against him,” (4.1.96.98). Macbeth believed that it would never happen because the trees would never pull their roots out of the ground and start walking. However, in concordance with Aristotle’s opinion, Macbeth isn’t all bad. At first glance, it may seem difficult to find redeeming features in a mass-murdering tyrant. But it’s important to remember that, at the beginning of the play, he is lauded as a great and loyal soldier. “For brave Macbeth--well he deserves that name--Disdaining fortune, with his brandish'd steel…”(I.ii)…

Despite Macbeth seeming noble and courageous towards the court, I, as a reader, am knowledgeable of his true feelings and do not feel sympathetic towards him. He does not fulfill the definitions of a sympathetic literary character that I carry in my mind, as he is aware and in control of his evil intentions and actions. In Act I, Macbeth’s initial reaction to the prophecy is murder, and his eventual commitment to the act showcases his true character as a murderous but independent…

In the play, Macbeth is driven to the extreme in order to further himself socially and his power, yet in the end it haunts him and tears him apart with consequences. His excessive amounts of greed blind him from being aware of the real danger. His colleagues now look down on him and are concerned for the people of his country, saying, “Bleed, bleed, poor country: Great tyranny, lay thou thy basis sure, For goodness dare not check thee. Wear thy thou wrongs… For the whole space that’s in the tyrant’s grasp, And the rich East to boot” (Shakespeare, IV.iii.32-39). During this discussion between Macduff and Malcolm, they express their concern and fear for the future of Macbeth’s country. Neither of these noble men trust Macbeth after the transgressions…

Today is going to be a great day for the history of Scotland. After much tragedy, caused by the greed of the worst kind of men, order will finally be reestablished with the coronation of our new king: Macbeth. I, Ross, and all of the other noblemen of Scotland were invited to his castle for supper as part of the coronation tradition. I have concerns, however, about this whole ordeal, and that concern is shared amongst a handful of the other noblemen. Macbeth is certainly a worthy warrior, and his status in combat is proven and legendary. His capability to lead an empire, though, is not something that will have me rest easy. There is a reason that the warriors and kings are often different people. I hope Macbeth is an exception to this.…

Macbeth, written by William Shakespeare is one of Shakespeare’s most powerful and emotionally intense plays. Shakespeare created several interesting characters, and Macbeth and Macduff are two of those characters. Though Macbeth and Macduff seem very different, they actually have several things in common. Macbeth is very power hungry to where Macduff is as well, but isn’t a heathen about it and puts the people of his sovereign first.…
