Made Up Planet of Computers
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s a new planet! Just as Neil Armstrong said when he took his first step on the moon this is, “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” This planet has the potential to change our world as we know it. On this planet there is life with and ecosystem just like ours, but the way the life uses their resources is different. The inhabitants of this planet are… COMPUTERS. Living, breathing, eating, computers! Crazy, right? But unlike humans these computers don’t require sunlight for their food or well-being, instead they use a source called the Mighty Outlet, or Mo. Mo is the source of all energy on Planet Millennial, it’s about the equivalent to the sun on Earth.
The way these computers distribute their energy is a little different than ours. The desktops are the only producers in this ecosystem, they get their energy from the Mighty Outlet. The LTs (Lesser Techs) cannot get their energy from the Mighty Outlet. The keystone species in this environment would be the desktops because without them the other animals would be too scared and wouldn’t have a way to connect to Mo. The good thing about the desktop is it has the most energy to offer, but as you get further down the line the amount of energy decreases significantly before it gets to its last stop. These creatures are rather friendly a generous with their energy until it rains and they have to hide. When it rains there could be days where they can’t get to the desktop, during this time it’s and all out war.
The acid rain is given off by the desktop when it gets a little over-heated. This heat causes the desktop to sweat which condenses into the acid rain. When it is raining the biotic factors hide under the desk to avoid, shorting their circuits and rusting. Unfortunately, sometimes the abiotic factors get left behind to fend for themselves in the rain. Though they recognize the acid rain as a problem, they have no idea how to fix it besides to cease to exist.
These may not be the phenomenon we all expected but they’re pretty interesting. They’re not the aliens we expected, neither are they just slugs. Now we know we have other life in space with us. And that in its self is amazing.

Unpolluted rain is normally slightly acidic, with a pH of 5.6. Carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere dissolves to form carbonic acid. Acid rain is rain that has been made acidic by certain pollutants in the air. Acid rain is a type of acid deposition, which can appear in many forms. Wet deposition is rain, sleet, snow, or fog that has become more acidic than normal. Dry deposition is another form of acid deposition, and this is when gases and dust particles become acidic. Both wet and dry deposition can be carried by the wind, sometimes for very long distances. Acid deposition in wet and dry forms falls on buildings, cars, and trees and can make lakes acidic. Acid deposition in dry form can be inhaled by people and can cause health problems in some people.…

Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, where they mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain…

The term “Acid Rain” is a broad term used to describe several ways in which acid falls out of the atmosphere. A more precise term is acid deposition. There are two parts of acid deposition, wet and dry. Acidic rain, fog, and snow are some common example of wet deposition. As these acidic form flows to the ground, it affects most of their surroundings including…

“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” These are the exact words spoken by astronaut Neil Armstrong when he and his crew landed “The Eagle” on the moon’s surface. This “giant leap” led to many great expeditions that furthered the exploration of space. Because Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins were very brave traveling up to space, a whole new perspective of the world opened up for the people of America.…

Acid rain increases the rate of corrosion on statues made of certain material. The town council wants to build a statue that will not be affected by acid rain. In this experiment, three different types of rock are used on vinegar (acting as acid rain). The rocks used are marble, granite, and red sandstone, which are the most popular forms of rocks used to build monuments. Each type of rock will be submerged under 20 ml of vinegar in their own separate container. The pH of acid rain around 4.0. Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction when sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide are released into the air. When these compounds are mixed with rain it is known as acid rain. Acid rain mostly affects the ocean and animals within that area.…

Acid rain is a type of pollution that is becoming a major threat to our planet and is need of attention. Acid rain has significantly increased ever since the industrial revolution, and now around the world, countries like Russia, China, and those in Europe are facing increasing levels of acidity in their rain. Not only is it becoming more acidic but it is also spreading by the pumping of sulfuric gasses deeper into the atmosphere from of the use of taller smokestacks at factories, which were made to reduce acid rain in local areas. Acid rain, is basically any precipitation like rain, fog or snow that is abnormally acidic with a pH around 5 - 5.5. Although pure water has a pH of 7, unpolluted rainwater has a pH of 5.6 – 6 because of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere reacting with the water and forming a weak carbonic acid. The acidity in the precipitations (rain, snow, fog) come from gasses released into the atmosphere by industrial factories, the combustion of fossil fuels, and even volcanoes. These gasses, sulfur dioxide and various nitrogen oxides, chemically react with the water vapors and oxygen in the atmosphere forming acidic vapors that will eventually rain back down on people, cities, and the environment.…

    Build A Computer

Computers are one of those technologies that, as the years pass, get more complicated yet simpler at the same time. The truth is, a person need not know anything at all of transistors, capacitor or the whole bunch to "build" a computer. All you really need to know are two important things. One is to always keep yourself (electrostatically) grounded, and secondly, you need to know how to put a jigsaw puzzle together. Now one would ask what a jigsaw puzzle has to do with computers, and rightly so! Well, here it is: Computers are jigsaw puzzles! All of the parts fit together only one certain way and are usually marked or color coded. So, when you get down to it, if the part doesn't fit, then it just doesn't go there!…

    Acid Rain Research

Acid rain is caused by air pollutants in the atmosphere. These air pollutants are mainly from man made resources such as factories and automobiles. The burning of fossil fuels is also one of the biggest factors that pollutes the air and causes acid rain. The primary emissions from man made resources are sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides. The rain actually becomes acidic when the water molecules in the air mix with these acidic chemical pollutants and forms an acid substance. This then falls as acid rain. Acid rain can also be formed by blowing acidic chemicals into areas where the weather is wet. The chemicals then fall to the ground as fog, snow, or acid rain. The final way acid rain can fall is when acidic chemicals blow into an area where the weather is dry. It then comes down to the ground as dust or smoke. They can stick to buildings, homes, and cars. Acid rain does not always fall as rain. It can fall in any form of precipitation. These include snow, fog, sleet, and of course rain. There are many causes for acid rain, but after the acidic chemicals get into the atmosphere they will harm any environment.…
