To further explain, The Chronicle of a Death foretold plays an effect on the reader’s imagination. This work of literature uses an unusual tactic, for example the author chose to give the plot line of the novel within the first chapter. The suspense of finding the end digresses and the suspense of understanding why opens up the mind of the reader. However, the confusion, then creates the reader to become unease of not knowing what actually happen to the main character. Even though the time era stays consistent throughout the novel, the question of when and exactly where rises. The use of magical realism can be shown in the character’s behavior. The character’s gift can be portrayed as the future, but still stays in past form. Grenuiolle (main character) inherits a strong sense of smell that seems unhuman like. However, it may be unlikely within the time era it exist in that a human can inherit this trait. The question of possibility in the near future will humans be able to increase their five senses realm occurs as the reader reads the novel
