Hello Everyone!
1.Best radiological Evaluation method:
Impingement syndrome:
According to McKinnis (2104), two types of impingement syndrome: Internal impingement and External impingement, however most commonly seen in overhead activities athletes. In addition, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can identify impingement and various associated soft tissue pathologies ( Mckinnis, 2014). Ultrasound is to be a justifiable and cost effective assessment method to identify pathology in the shoulder joint or assessment of shoulder impingement. (Khan, Nagy, Malal and Waseem, 2013). Furthermore, Alqunaee, Galvin, & Fahey (2012) study mentioned, that physical examination through special tests such as Hawkins-Kennedy test and Neer’s impingement sign which are very effective (sensitivity tests.69 to .78) to determine subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS).
Rotator cuff tear: …show more content…
(2013),study point out that rotator cuff disorder are considered to be the most common cause of pain and disabilities. In addition, American college of radiology (ACR, 2010) mentioned that radiograph are the initial imaging techniques in shoulder pain condition, then MRI is effective method to determine soft tissues involvement in the shoulder. McKinnnis, point out that MRI and ultrasound are commonly using effective methods to determine rotator cuff tear with partial or full thickness involvements (2014). Moreover, systemic review study by Lenza et al. (2013) point out more importance on MRI in rotator cuff injury compare to magnetic resonance arthrography
