John l.
Rinn and Michael Snyder have a very powerful advantage on there their side ; biology science. This is the strong point of John l. Rinn and Michael Snyder debate ; genetics . Most men have more masculine genetic traits then females and most women have more feminine genetic traits then men . These hormones can have an effect on human behavior and their appearance. This can cause a boy to want to play sports and girl to play with dolls. This is common but there are many expectations , there a plenty of women that have a lot of estrogen in there genetic structure but just like to act masculine. The social norms isn’t concrete enough to make this argument valid something else has to play a factor into the acquisition to validate this argument
.
Culture is what makes who you are , not your genetic structure. Your appearance is given to you from your parents but the morals and behaviors you learn are taught . You are just a product of your environment and your society , that’s Mahin Hassibi strongest point. Your morals aren’t passed through DNA , that’s something you learn after your born . The only flaw I seen in Mahin Hassibi debate is the myth of “penis envy” , I didn’t find that part of the article helpful in my process of choosing a position . it hurt Mahin Hassibi position in my eyes , I just felt that it didn’t add anything to the argument .
John l. Rinn and Michael Snyder lost my vote with this quote “the lack of data on genes that are preferentially expressed in each sex probably due to the difficulty in obtain healthy adult tissue samples” . My vote goes to Mahin Hassibi, because society and your environment can explain human behavior better than genetic and biological factors. I am who I am today because of my environment my society and my culture . If anyone them were to change it would have an effect on my behavior , but my DNA would stay the same . Humans’ behavior changes overtime, but genetics don’t . How can genetics change behavior DNA stay’s the same ? No matter what culture you are a part of or where you live your genetics will never change. Mahin Hassibi is right social factors alter the way people behave .
As much as humans’ categories themselves they can’t run from the facts, 99% of human DNA is identical . Culture is what separates humans from one another there behavior patterns, arts, beliefs and institutions. Behavior can’t be passed down thru genetics because behaviors changes over time, behavior can only be taught. It’s rare that human develops the same identical behavior without it being taught. Your environment and society’s role in your life can explain your behavior more than biology factors. John l. Rinn and Michael Snyder had very strong points ; genetic traits influences society role in human but it doesn’t determines someone’s behavior .
