First, a career in veterinary technologist and technician would bring me great personal satisfaction. I enjoy working, helping out, and simply being around animals. For example, Julie Legred, a veterinary technician and executive director at the National Association of veterinary technicians in America, says, “We do everything except diagnose, prescribe and do surgery. They often work in private clinics and animal hospitals, assisting veterinarians with the care of animals” ("Veterinary Technologist and Technician"). Without veterinary technologists and technicians,…

Colonial Georgia was established in 1733, fifty years after the original twelve by General James Oglethorpe. He and a trusted group of colonists intended to create the colony as a safe haven for persecuted Protestant sects, less wealthy Europeans and debtors wanting to re-esablish themselves. Georgia’s economy was deeply imbedded in agriculture, almost all of Georgia’s exports were food and products that must be grown on a farm. Georgia’s climate provided the perfect environment for such growing needs, with hot-humid summers, and short mildly cold winters. The majority of the population was made up of small farmers and plantation owners, who grew a range of different types of crops. Colonial Georgia’s main purpose, intended by the British government, was to be able to defend South Carolina from invaders coming from Florida. Although, settlers faced many hardships in early colonial Georgia it was imperative to the British that the colony succeeded.…

Many Americans believe that Gun-Control Laws should be enforced, because “Individuals do not need guns for protection; it is the role of local and federal government to protect the people through law enforcement agencies and the military.” (http://www.StudentNewsDaily.com) All Individuals deserve the right to carry a gun with them at all times, to use for protection. According to the Second Amendment in the Constitution, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” (https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/second_amendment) Obtaining a gun, gives one the sense of feeling safe and protected given any situation. No one knows when they may be “attacked” or in danger, and the protection they need from the government may not always be there to protect them. Every American must learn self-defense and use it when needed, they shouldn’t have to rely and anyone but themselves.…
If we had to pursue one of the first ten occupations we had ever imagined being as a child then I can guarantee you that I Veterinary Assistant wouldn’t have made the cut. As a child I was allergic to cats and afraid of most animals. With time I grew out of my allergies and became exposed to more animals to reduce the fear. My kid I only owned fish and frogs, and you can’t exactly do much with either of those animals so all I knew were caged animals at the zoo and my house.…

I think that for a career I would either like to farm or become an agricultural engineer or something in the agricultural field for sure. I really enjoy farming and would like to make a career out of it if at all possible. In order to farm you don't really need to have any special kind of degree. You can go to college and get a degree but it really won't help you that much. That's why I have chosen a Core 40 degree because if I decide that I want to college after all I will be eligible.…
All people including men, women, and kids helped build houses and all kinds of buildings they needed, like farms, barns and houses. Most people built farms for food.
