The concept of art cannot be put inside a fixed boundary. Different things seem like art to different people, and art is no longer only limited to what DaVinci or Monet did in their time. At the present time, makeup and being able to do makeup is considered as an art. Probably that is why the people who do makeup are called makeup artists, because what they do is equivalent to art; just that the face of a person is their canvas.
At present, there are so many different type, techniques, and products of makeup that keeping count is not possible. Every other day a new product hits the market, and every few years, a new technique of doing makeup comes up, or an existing technique is upgraded by using different procedures.
If one keeps their minds open, makeup is truly a very fun thing to do and to play around with. There are so many different types of looks, colours, and styles, which one can try; the possibilities are …show more content…
unlimited. So in lieu of that, here are a few makeup essentials that anyone wanting to master the art of makeup, needs to know.
• Makeup brushes: Even though it is not impossible to do makeup without brushes, but using brushes and sponges to do one’s makeup makes a great deal of difference in the outcome. Therefore, you should invest a little money in buying good quality makeup brushes like from Real Technique or Sigma. There are a few brushes, which are key for a flawless makeup and they are –foundation brush and a beauty blender, concealer brush, fluffy powder brush, blush brush, eyeshadow application brush and blending brush. But the fun part here is that even though the brushes have a designated use, you can mix them up according to your preference. Like, using the powder brush for bronzing and so on.
• Use primer: Primer is a product that ensures that if you have big, open pores then they get closed before you apply your first layer of makeup, and they also see to it that your makeup stays put the entire day.
• Contour and highlight: What this does is give your face dimension. Many of us are not blessed with a high set of cheekbones or a small forehead, and therefore, we improvise with makeup. Contouring is the part where a dark shade of foundation is used to make certain areas of your face look thinner, and a highlight is used to make certain parts of your face look brighter. Contouring and highlighting take a little time and practise to master, but if you keep at it, you will definitely get there.
At the end of the day, what one needs to know is that the reason why you are doing your makeup is that you want to. Makeup artists all over the world to propagate this one view, and in my opinion, it is very correct. Makeup is a fun activity, and if done with a positive attitude, can be thoroughly enjoyed as
well.
