Have you ever not been able to read a sign that a homeless person has written? In Chicago 46.8% of adults are homeless. Ian Todd had moved from California to Chicago which is a big difference in homeless people. Ian saw all the signs the homeless people were holding and how you couldn't really read them so he thought of an idea about making signs for the homeless that would draw attention.

In July of 2014 a man named Edwin. Live in Cambridge, MA was interviewed and got to tell his story. His parents split up because of alcoholism he also states that ¨It was tough growing up in the 70s with the prejudice and that he and his siblings had to fight to just go to and from school because they were Latino.¨ His biggest problem was when he started drinking he was always running errands for his grandmother getting her alcohol (because she was an alcoholic) and he was never told that it was bad for him to drink. There are a lot of our veterans living on the streets there was one named Paul he was born and raised in Dorchester, MA. He was a van driver for 20 years and the company started laying people off slowly and he was late for work one day and they fired him as soon as he showed up. Paul is disabled and suffers from PTSD from being in the military. He has kids but they stay with their mother now.
