Also known as Agasthyarkoodam belongs to the mountain range of Western Ghats situated in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. Agasthyarkoodam is a pilgrimage centre for devotees of the Hindu sage Agastya, who is considered to be one of the seven rishis (Saptarishi) of Hindu Puranas. There is a full-sized statue of Agathiyar at the top of the peak and the devotees can offer pujas themselves. Around 2,000 medicinal plants used in Ayurvedic treatments are also found in the lower elevations of this peak.
Aranmula kannadi
Is a handmade metal-alloy mirror, made in Aranmula, a village in the state of Kerala. The exact metals used in the alloy are unknown to people other than the members of Aranmula family, which they keep as their family secret amounts to uniqueness of the reflection in this mirror. The origins of the Aranmula kannadi are linked with the Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple.
Idakka
It is one of the five instruments that constitute the panchavadhyam ensemble of Kerala. The idakka is considered to be Devavadyam (a divine instrument) and is customarily played standalone during the puja at temples or as the accompaniment to the Sopanam music just outside the sanctum sanctorum, customarily by the Ambalavasi community Marar. The idakka is slung over the left shoulder and the right side of the instrument is beaten with a stick. The left hand is used for tightening and loosening the tape wound round the middle. Varying the tension of the tape produces variations in tones.
Eezhthupattu
Vadakkanpattukal (folk songs of northern kerala) are widely accepted folk songs that are written in praise of valiant heroes such as Aromal Chekavan and Thacholi Othenan. One of such folk song genre is Eezhthupattu. These are musical stories of departed Brave hearts chiefly in the Eezhava sub caste.
