Male vs Female Friendships
Male Vs. Female Friendships How different is a friendship with a woman from the one with a man? What do you prefer? Are they the same kind of friendship or does it depend on the person? I have my own opinions to compare and contrast about these two kinds of friendships, such as confidence, places to go out and the way of thinking. Confidence is very important to establish in a friendship. Confessing something is difficult but when you have someone important who can listen to you and give you some advice is great. I think most women tend to criticize you or be more gossipy with what you tell them. On the other hand, men are more reliable with your secrets and most of the time listen to you without criticizing. Another important aspect to consider is the places to go out. I think I have more options with female friends than with male friends. With female friends you can go shopping, since girls can shop forever with no problem. Also girls can go to clubs together and get discounts on drinks, just because they are women. A male friend doesn’t like to shop as much as females. One advantage is you can go to clubs with men and never feel alone, because he is always going to be taking care of you. The way of thinking influences so much in a friendship. Most women think with their hearts and always try to give you the best advice. Men on the other hand, are more blunt. They will tell you exactly how they feel even if it’s going to hurt your feelings. The one thing to remember is that a true friend will always tell you the truth.
I think women and men both make excellent friends. It depends on the situation your in whether you want to chill with men or women at the time. Depending on what you want to do or want to talk about is when you will make that decision. Just remember good friends are hard to come by. Whether they are male or female just remember the happiness that he or she brings into your life.

I believe it all starts with authentic communication which refers to communication that is open and free from pretense. We expect our closest friends to be authentic, or "real" with us. It is because we are connecting with their true selves and we ourselves are also able to be our truest selves with them inside the friendship. The primary and most important thing that authentic communicators do is always allow others to speak. Denying our closest friends the right to communicate authentically can lead to termination of the relationship. Being open in your…

Friendship is first and foremost an ideal, something to aspire to, much like wisdom. It is never fully attainable, at most we are offered brief moments to its truth and we should revel in it when it shows itself. Much like wisdom, the pursuit of it is noble, for instance you don’t break off everything because of one small fight. If that is the case then it would not be a strong relationship. One does not give up when things start to get rough, so the pursuit of an impossible goal, actualizing an ideal, is futile, but we become better people through the chase and that is what…

Respect for each another is imperative in a friendship. Everyone has secrets, so one should not press for answers when the other is clearly unwilling to share the information. If the person wants to share the secret, it is important to be a good listener. One should be responsible by never compromising a friend’s trust and revealing it to other people. In addition to being considerate of another’s privacy, a good friend should not be too judgmental. Although one should never be afraid to contradict a friend, as everyone is allowed to have his own opinion, he should be mindful of the friend’s feelings.…

Woman friendships usually seem to be more conversed, as for men it’s the opposite. Woman can talk about anything they want and share the same feelings or thoughts on the topic, but for men it’s a little less conversational. For men they think it’s feminine to talk about their feelings. Men usually refrain from talking to their friends about relationship problems so they typically talk about work related topics, sports, or anything that has to do with a man’s masculinity to show his friend he is dominate. But if men were to find themselves in a conversation they only talk about the things they have in common, which makes the men bond more and most likely to be better friends. Men don’t criticize each other’s opinion. As for women, if a girl sees her friend crying she is more likely to ask her to talk about why is she crying. Woman share common issues so their more likely to help one another. So you can say women are more sympathetic then men. Woman also criticize each other and because they know more information about each other, their more open to sharing personal information.…
