There are many methods people can use to reduce plastic pollution. They can reduce, reuse, and recycle. This is the oldest method that is effective if done correctly. They can buy recyclable products with little or no packaging. Buying these products will reduce the use of plastic and will reduce recycling needs which will lead to a cleaner Earth. They can also use biodegradable plastics so we don’t have to worry so much about plastic pollution. Keeping storm drains clean and never littering will also help reduce the plastic that end up in the oceans. Everyone can join the banning of plastic bags which will reduce a significant amount of plastic pollution. Refusing to use disposables and choose to use reusable or Tupperware products. This can reduce plastic pollution because instead of just throwing the container away after using it, it can be washed and reused. People can also help to clean up your local beaches. This will help to reduce the amount of litter and plastic pollution that will eventually end up in the ocean. If one cannot help clean up the beaches, they can make donations to help the clean-up. There are a number of organizations people can donate to such as the Natural Resources Defense Council or NRDC. NRDC is one of the nation’s most effective action groups. They work to safeguard the earth — its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends.…

I chose this article because it is relevant to my field of study which is Business Administration and also other studies. It raises an issue with me because stress comes in many forms. I want to inform people on how to comprehend, manage, and respond positively to stress and apply it to their life and goals. I know stress can be positive and negative. Positive stress gives me that extra bust of adrenaline to help me accomplish my goals. I know when it is negative stress because I have a lack of concentration of the things I need to do. I also know that I’m in control of my life and the foundation of stress management.…
Pitch correction also known as “Auto-tune” is software used heavily in today’s popular music world. It is plug-in software that is added to industry leading recording programs such as Protools, Logic and Cubase. “When used properly it corrects the intonation of pitches without altering any other aspects of sound. Pitch correction is mostly used in studios to adjust vocal lines. In rare cases it is used to correct a note played on an instrument or for live performance (Daley, 2003).” It arrived on the scene in 1997 and was first strongly noticed in the 1998 song “Believe” by Cher. “Auto-Tune was initially created by Andy Hildebrand, an engineer working for Exxon. Hildebrand developed methods for interpreting seismic data, and subsequently realized that the technology could be used to detect, analyze, and modify pitch (Jones, 2008).”…

In today’s society, we often use the term stress to explain how situations cause us to feel tension or worry. If you were to ask a group of people to describe stress, they may each have a different interpretation of the word. The reason for this is that stress is very subjective, which causes individuals to deal with stress very differently. Stress can cause or impact the course of many medical conditions as well as psychological illnesses including anxiety and depression. Considering the potential effects of stress, nurses could benefit from further understanding the concept of stress in order to aid in their patients’ health. My goal for this concept analysis is to apply the framework defined by Walker and Avant (2011), to perform a literature review and explain the concept of stress.…

Stress has been defined as “the negative feelings that occurs when an individual feel unable to cope with the demands placed upon them by their environment” (Lazarus and Folkman, 1984). Stress is a thing that is experienced by everyone at some stage of their life. College students represent a group which is particularly sensitive to stress. The transition into college life from a school setting can be challenging for some people. The transition involves moving from top dog to the lowest position. (Stantrock, 2004). In addition to the common stressors experienced by the general population, college students encounter an additional range of stressors: being away from home for the first time, holding down jobs, time management, financial obligations towards fees/ boarding etc, and on a social/emotional level maintaining relationships. (Archer and Lamin, 1985). A disturbing trend in college student health is the reported increase in student stress nationwide (Sax (Simple API for XML) A programming interface (API) for accessing the contents of an XML document. SAX does not provide a random access lookup to the document 's contents. It scans the document sequentially and presents each item to the application only one time. , 1997). This is evident in Hirsch and Keniston (1970) study, which looked at the dropout rate of students in university. They estimated that fifty percent of entering students do not finish college four years later.…
