1.0 Introduction to RAOUL by F J BENJAMIN
FJ Benjamin, an international fashion retailer company that is based in Singapore. The company has four core businesses fashion retail, timepiece distribution, retail licensing, and investments in lifestyle concepts. It also markets and manages its own in-house brand, Raoul, in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. (Singapore Infopedia,2009, Para 1)

RAOUL launched in Singapore in 2002 as a men’s shirt label, branching out to womenswear , is a homegrown fashion and leather goods brand from the house of F J Benjamin. Since its international debut at the 2010 New York and Paris Fall/Winter shows, RAOUL has been a buzz. Founded by Douglas Benjamin and Odile Benjamin, RAOUL has expanded into the international market with creations sold in standalone stores across the Asia-Pacific and through 150 stockists worldwide. RAOUL initial vision was to create a great brand of men’s shirts and accessories that offered good value and quality for money. (Singapore Tatler, 2013, Para 10)

But that has been a thing of the past as RAOUL explores with exotic materials such as crocodile skin and python snake skin as well as the constant re-evaluation of its prices as the years go by and with the brand more

    Raoul grew up as a young man with his single mother who was a widow, they lived together with Raoul´s little sister on a single spot in the forest at Lidingö. It was three months before he was born, his father had passed away. When Raoul was a little child he often played by himself, he did not have any friends and his time in school was not so god either. Raoul was none of the brave guys, but it doesn’t means that you can´t be it when you grew up. Raoul had a grandfather, Gustav Wallenberg who was the Swedish ambassador in Tokyo at this time, and he hoped it would be something good about Raoul and that he would become an international person. He wanted that Raoul would learn many languages and spend lots of time in other countries in the summer. He traveled to many places around the country and meet many people. He was no longer the anxious guy who did not dare so much, when he was in high school he started to go on summer courses in France. Then began Raoul changing. He spent many weeks in France to learn French, where he lived with another family where there were other young people from other different countries. Telus was selected to one of the Top 50 Socially Responsible Corporation in Canada that Maclean’s published in 2011. In response to the 2011 Alberta fires, the company provided free wireless calling, a stoppage on billing, long-distance calling cards, replacement cellphones and over 1,600 comfort kits for relief workers and residents of Slave Lake (Jantzi-Sustainalytics, 2011). Moreover, according to the Globe and Mail, Telus donation supported enhanced breast cancer detection. Telus announced that the company would donate $25 from every pink BlackBerry sold towards the purchase of digital mammography machines across Canada. In 2011, TELUS' Go Pink campaign raised more than $800,000 for The Gattuso Rapid Diagnostic Centre at Princess Margaret Hospital. President and CEO of The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation implied that approximately 23,200 women and 180 men were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and having more digital mammography machines allows improving the screening technology and delivering better results for patients having mammography without waiting for the diagnosis with anxiety. Also, the vice-president of TELUS Community Affairs mentioned that replacing existing analog mammography units with digital machines that are better able to detect smaller cancers in denser tissues will save lives. As a successful and social responsible company, Telus has been a long-time supporter of charities that advance cancer research, awareness and detection.…

The stakeholders of any companies would genuinely be in support of their company’s charitable involvement in finding the cure for a disease. The CEO of CRS presented the idea in a no win situation.
