Yes, I would report this incident. My reason being that the large handprint found on Jane's face was discovered after she had arrived home from daycare. Instead, I would make a visit to Jane's daycare facility to ensure that they are aware of this incident and see if they have reported the incident themselves. If for some reason they know nothing about what has happened, by going directly to the daycare to follow up with the facility management will give them a chance to handle it more effectively. Once Management is able to investigate the situation with the facility's staff then they will be able to take the steps necessary to remove the individual responsible for hitting Jane. By making sure the incident has been made apparent to the daycare facility this does a lot more good. Considering that we know exactly where the mark came from, there is no need for an intense investigation by other agencies since we know exactly where the abuse happened. It allows the daycare to be made aware of what is going on in their program and how the children of the daycare are being treated by the staff. This gives the facility the opportunity to fix and handle the problem accordingly without having to involve any other agencies. Even if management fails to appropriately handle the situation, then the daycare's human resources department can be notified or it can be reported to child protective services. Overall, this situation needs to be addressed within the daycare, and if needed this situation can be brought up to someone with greater authority to ensure it will be taken care
