In this pathway the fibers travel from lateral geniculate nucleus (LGN) to the primary visual cortex. The LGN represents as the primary relay nucleus for visual processing by visual cortex. Due to the decussation at the optic chiasm the right LGN receives information from the left visual field and left LGN from right visual field.
