Maniac Magee By Jerry Spinelli

In the book Maniac Magee, the author Jerry Spinelli used details, dialogue, action, and thoughts to create a main character named Maniac ( Jeffrey) Magee. Maniac Magee was introduced into the book by telling who Maniac Magee was. To me, I think that Maniac Magee was helpful, for example, in the beginning, Maniac was introduced to Amanda Beale. Amanda was on her way to school and she was carrying her suitcase that was full of books she called it her “library”. It was half open and the books came out. Maniac helped her when the books came bursting out and Maniac helped her pick them up. In the beginning, the author showed how Manic acted and responded.
