Billy Miner rode the rails located just outside the pub and you can still experience the trains that come and go while enjoying a drink in the Billy Miner Alehouse.
The building itself also has a storied history and once was a bank. It has withstood multiple fires and is still a precious gem to the city of Maple Ridge. The building has undergone a few different restorations and is now recognized as a Heritage building and is protected in the provinces Heritage Act.
