I believe that Brutus and Caesar are focused on equally during the beginning of the play, and after Caesar is murdered Brutus is the most emphasized character. On page 870 Antony says “This was the noblest Roman of them all. All the conspirators save only he Did that they did in envy of great Caesar,” when referring to Brutus’ suicide. I typically find that the last few lines in a book have something to do with the title of the story, but here Antony is talking about Brutus, the tragedy of his death, and the greatness of his life in just a few short lines. With this in mind, I believe that The Tragedy of Marcus Brutus is a much more adequate title for this story than The Tragedy of Julius Caesar.
