Although she didn’t talk so much about what happened before or after the war, her decision of waiting to go to the address shows that she was emotionally affected about what happened in the past. She didn’t want to remember all these bad memories that will constantly reminds her of her family’s death. Luckily, when she put herself together, she decided to go to the address and take what belongs to her. After walking in the street, the girl says: “I didn’t want to torment myself with the sight of the streets and houses full of memories of a cherished time.” (37, The Address).
