Maria Jose Florez Garcia is a Latino immigrant from Bucaramanga city, Columbia who wrote about her positive view of immigrating to the United States. Her life was mostly focused on tennis, since her family played it. She moved to U.S by herself looking for a scholarship for tennis. Her parents and brother are a big inspiration for Maria. Maria believes that God has good things for her in the USA.
For instance, Maria wrote about how her parents, her brother, and her play tennis. Her brother was her instructor and he once told her, “You can do everything if you put your mind to.” They won a tournament and two bracelets together.
